In this two part class, Al will teach the group to help explore indiginous and traditional healing techniques through the use of sound and music.  Throughout history, sound and music has successfully been used in indiginous cultures to assist in illness, to control pain, and to aid in emotional traumas through relaxation and stimulation.  In traditional cultures, sound plays a primary role for the community as a primary healing tool used by the community's spiritual healer.

Through experimental practices, demonstrations and group hands on work and discussion, the group will experience sound and music that can be used as diagnostic tools, healing agents and connectors to spiritual domains and how each of these elements can construct a dynamic healing session for yourself and others.
